Sneha Kapoor is an Indian trained Salsa Dancer, choreographer and instructor. She is popularly known as the Indian Salsa Princess. She has appeared on television and is better known for her dance class SKI (Sneha Kapoor Institute). She knows many dance forms like- salsa, Bachata, merengue, Jive, hip-hop, adagio and Bollywood. Sneha Kapoor Biography
Sneha Kapoor was born on 18 April 1986 in Bangalore, India. She is widely credited for putting the Indian Salsa scene on the world map. She performs and teaches dance workshops nationally and internationally. It has been 8 months that She opened dance class named SKI (Sneha Kapoor Institute). She said, “The first two months when I started the dance class it had my fan following crowd and now it has all the general population. Dance is absolutely a stress buster. What makes me happier is that even the professors from school and college spare some time from their hectic schedule and come to learn the dance.”
Sneha began her career with a dance company in Bangalore. During her tenure at the school, Sneha and her dance partner Tholoor won several awards and trophies in salsa championships across the world. She broke a Guinness World Record for “Most Number of Swing Dance Flips in a Minute”. The record of 33 flips in a minute was set four years ago in the UK, but Sneha and her team of three dancers set the new record at 39 flips. She participated in Dance India Dance Season 3 and then she has choreographed for the reality shows like, Just Dance, JDJ 5, JDJ 6 and Perfect Bride. She had started her career in television with the Dil Dosti Dance, aired on Channel V. She also hosts couple of dance shows which take place in the colleges and had choreographed in the South Indian movie, Jugaari and Madhur Bhandarkar’s film, Heroine.
